Yeah, and the same would majority would likely believe that the chances of an event that would trigger the necessity for "two weeks in the wilderness"...is highly unlikely as well.

There are a few highly trained people who could guide an unskilled group to somewhat success, depending on the geographic area, season, equipment and the personal grit in said group. Otherwise, a lot of people would lose their will to endure...especially if there was no hope of going straight back into the easy life to which they were accustomed...after the two weeks.

Like Nicholson said "you people can't handle the truth". Truth is, most wouldn't come close; but they can not afford to admit it. I can. At 70, chances are slim on that 2 weeks, minus top equipment and a good reason to make it through.

I think that Show "Alone" is a pretty good indicator. Though there are no real pros on it.

A fair chuck, if not a majority, could probably still be alive in two weeks if they could figure out a water situation that didn’t kill them, but they wouldn’t be thriving.

Very few could thrive, but even they would go down after not too long. Like that guy in Alone who had a great shelter, water, ample food, everything he needed, but barely made it due to a lack of fat in his diet.
