He didn't say he was the only person that COULD have identified Point Zion, he said that out of the 9 candidates they interviewed he was the ONLY one that spoke about the vision of Point Zion.

AS much as I hate LeBron, Griff is only considered a good GM because of the success LeBron helped bring to Cleveland.
He's not getting a guy like LeBron (experienced, championships, and talent) to Nola. His vision of what it takes to win a championship is pretty weak. He has absolutely no idea how to build a young team, which is what the Pelicans are.
He's also been atrocious at times with drafting and other times hit, but Cleveland didn't win titles with young players, and as long as Griff is GM and Stan is coach, you will not win shite in New Orleans with this cast.
He is overrated as hell, but hiring SVG was idiotic. He needed to hire a developer, and didn't do so. He brought in horrid trade players and then put the team in a bad position with extending Adams to a pricey contract (yes it could've been worse).
In the end, don't expect anything meaningful from this crew.
