In high school, a local shop put lugs on my car with an air wrench and torqued the same as the axle nut they had just put on.
I ruined a cross tool the next time I had a flat.

Walmart is notorious for over torquing lug nuts. I had no idea what that meant until they did it to 2 of mine on one tire. What happens is it'll ruin the stud and you won't know until you're changing the tire the next time and the nuts won't go back on the stud. The threads are all janky because the stud is twisted slightly.

Yea I'm still mad about it. But they replaced the studs for free when I found out how it happens and how common it is with dumbasses in a shop.
