This reminds me of a similar story: Remember when Trilene fishing line (Berkley) would pay $1000 for any certified world record Gamefish catch? Well, one of my best friend’s wife and her father are the reason that shite got shut down. The summer after her senior year of high school, her dad told her that she was going to earn all her college money that summer, and by God, she did. They fished together all summer catching line class world records of obscure species around here, such as Buffalo carp. I think she held the world record for this species alone for a while in the 2 lb, 4 lb, 6 lb, and 8 lb line class. All told, I think she got paid $26,000 by Berkley.
