This is exactly why American sports need to evolve and become more strict about "opposing fans" and specifically designed seating sections for them. Too many idiots out there, who run their mouths and then shite like this ends up happening. Most stadiums now have "Family Zones" in place, why not start designating "Visitors Sections" in these stadiums? I don't want to hear the bitching and moaning about crappy seats either. Going to sporting events is becoming ridiculous. Nothing worse than paying premium price for premium seats, just to get to the game and have drunk Ravens sitting in front of you running their mouths the whole game. Happened to me during the Browns vs Ravens Sunday Night Football game this past season.

Everyone in the section is staring at them, so there was clearly a verbal argument leading up to the punch.

I think it means I'm becoming an old man, but I somewhat agree with you.

Lol what? I've been to countless stadiums from coast to coast my whole life and have never heard of such a concept. Sounds ridiculous.

Bc this is america? In cfb you already do have visitor sections. In tbe pros you've got your ticket holders and then the general public. If I'm the general public I should be able to buy a ticket wherever I want if I can afford to.

Then stay home. They paid the same premium price for premium seats that you did. At uga home games I have very good seats and every year there is an away fan somewhere within 50 feet of me in a seat somewhere bc the ticket holder decided to make money by selling his seat online and that's who bought it. That's life, I don't like it but nothing can be done about it.

If you are this shaken by an opposing fan being drunk around you at an NFL football game perhaps live sports aren't for you anymore

The only place I've seen anything close to this in the US was at a hockey game in Alaska where you could only drink alcohol on one side of the arena.
