Of the guns you've mentioned, the only one I have is the Kimber Micro 9. It's been my main cc gun when I'm not at work. Obviously, I like it. I've not had any problems w/ the gun itself. It's my second most accurate gun. It handles all ammo well, both cheap and expensive. At first I was disappointed w/ the 10# trigger, I was pleased when it pretty quickly dropped to 7.5#, the factory spec. I don't want a really light trigger on a cc gun. The P938 and Micro 9 are basically the same gun, just different manufacturers. While the P938 and Micro 9 are both SAO guns, the Hellcat is a striker fired, different platforms. If I were you, I'd first decide which platform you want, SAO or striker. I carry my Micro 9 w/ a 7 round mag in it and have a back up 8 round mag in my left front pocket. Yeah, neither gun hav as many rounds as the Hellcat, but I'm ok w/ a 7 or 8 round mag.

It's easy to get wrapped around the axle on mag size. It's not a statistic that's tracked, but the vast majority of self defense shootings that I see (video, news, whatever) involve 1-4 shots. It seems (again, it's not tracked so I'm just going with what I've seen) most cop shootings tend to be in that range too. I've never personally read about a self defense shooting that involved a reload or a spare mag.
