gas will be 7.00 or higher tomorrow on the east coast and this will ripple throughout the country. gas prices will not return to Trump level and gas will stay at closed pipelines level all summer or longer. there is no incentive to lower prices.
Prediction: the pipeline will re-open shockingly quickly and all of your hot air will evaporate.

I get it, you're objecting to what you perceive is an exaggerated take on the situation. But you don't get even a slight sense that your own opposing take is itself a bit of an exaggerated one? It occurs to me that even if they were to get it fully online tomorrow that there will still be some rather significant negative effects for a given period of time. For instance, if they can't transport the "usual" amount of gasoline, then I would think they're not refining the "usual" amount of gasoline. I'm sure the implications of that is farther reaching than the average person knows, and it will take some time to get back up and running to pre-hack levels. Until such time there will be those negative effects to varying degrees in different locations.

So perhaps it's a bigger problem than you're willing to admit under the circumstances. But then again perhaps you have particularly relevant knowledge of the ins and outs, which if so please share.
