I think some do, and I did so for the first time May 1 applying Specticle Flo pre-emergent b/c I’ve had a serious issue with Doveweed in summer, a later germinating summer annual, that Specticle is supposed to be good at controlling (I hope so) - I should know how well it worked in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

But as a general rule a summer pre-emergent shouldn’t be required, a heathy thick fast growing lawn shouldn’t require it. Summer pre-emergents are not recommended by LSU AgCenter weed control specialists except under “unusual” conditions - in my case it was recommended to get on top the Doveweed issue.

Ok. I don't have some crazy problem. I can spot treat with Celsius in the summer. Thanks, y'all !
