A solid example of how this is about power and nothing more.

If the phrase Colored Person would enrage you, but you'd insist a person be called Person of Color, you're a fricking idiot. But the fact that the affronted group insists on it, despite it being literally the same words in reverse shows that it's all about forcing you to comply and nothing to do with the words used.

Bingo.

That is why a cringe when normally conservative folks use a term like that. Shows they are scared to offend even if they don't agree.
