16 is too many. Needs to be capped at 12.
This talk of expanding the playoff ruining the regular season is nonsense. You have to win your conference to be guaranteed a spot. If you don't win your conference or even your division then it's gonna be really difficult for you to make it unless it's just a down year for everyone else.

Exactly. These are probably some of the same people who want as many bowl games as possible, but bitch about the thought of expanding the playoff to include more teams.
More football is apparently only bad when it gives teams deemed "unworthy" of a chance at a national championship.
