The problem is that actual journalists have to (are supposed to) vet info before sharing it and Twitter guys can just throw shite and hope it sticks.

Real journalists also have to be careful what they “break” because they don’t want to burn bridges with their sources since it’s their living at stake.

Neither of these reasons matter cuz journalists share bs into all the time and they are just sour that they aren’t first.

The real issue is that these Twitter guys steal the moment from the kids or coaches. A decent comparison is your GF finding out you broke up with her from a Twitter account before you tell her. It’s just shitty. They shouldve let TJ announce it himself and they should let Paul be the one to announce his retirement. Just my 2 cents.
