Still don’t know why certain shows persist, but other shows die.

Up until he switched to the 30 minute format, I was an avid watcher of Conan’s TBS show. He is funnier than Colbert, Kimmel, Fallon, Corden, and Meyers.

Several of these shows are about to go under. They don’t have the audience to support their current budgets. There’s no way Samantha Bee has her show by the end of the year.

Are they?

Seems like as long as you spout one brand of political garbage your ratings don’t matter.

You say several are about to go under but list a show that is half an hour once a week on TBS. Her show being cancelled is nothing like the late shows on the major networks. Her show is all political and there's not celeb interviews to fall back on. Her cancellation would portend nothing for them.

YouTube suggested a Seth Meyers segment the other day. Holy crap that guy sucks. Amazing how far Late Night has fallen from the Letterman/Conan days. Just unfunny left wing politics. It’s just sad that the same show that used to have Top Ten List and Triumph the Insult Comic Dog now has a nightly monologue that is better suited for MSNBC.

But the viewcount was something like 2 million in one day so people are watching that crap and giving him clicks. Not to mention every other upload on his channel is the same way.

It’s kind of amazing how every Late Night comic now goes hard to the paint for left wing politics. The days of Carson and Leno, where you didn’t know the politics of the host because they made fun of everyone, are over. You’d think one of them would try to do something to stand out. Kudos to Conan for not completely falling in line. I’m convinced that the Tonight Show would be in better shape today if had remained as host.
