re: Griffin picked the worst season of all time to focus on "toughness" instead of skill

I think his drafts will tell a bigger story. We passed up on skilled guys like Hunter, Herro, Nesmith, and Bey who would have easily put us in better position to win games early on for guy like Hayes, NAW, and Kira who they're hoping their developments will allow them to reach or come close to their ceilings in the long run.

Those picks could still turn to be good ones...especially Hayes. However, it’s been the other personal decisions that have not helped. Not only that, but it’s hindered the development of young players. Bringing in Adams has not brought about the short term success we thought it would, and relying on Bledsoe to have any positive impact has failed monumentally! It’s just been a complete waste of trading Jrue so far.

Saddiq Bey would have been perfect for this team. A 3&D player. Crazy to see that he broke the rookie 5+ made 3pt games record last night with 11. Everyone knew he was going to be good coming from Villanova and being coached by Jay Wright for 4 years.
Kira might turn out great, but damn it stings.
