re: Why do fans treat mock draft experts like they are GMs?

Fans spend hours reading mocks and get to know players by name. Fans think since the same players go in the same range, that they must be the logical selections.
Fan then melt when the player they fell in love with (based on mock drafts) didn't get picked where they were told they would.

The draft hoopla is pretty silly overall...Re-watching any draft from 5+ years ago will tell you that we learn nothing from actual draft night. The teams that do it well will probably hit on a player that they "reached for" while poor organizations will look like they drafted a bust when in reality, maybe the organization just sucks at utilizing talent.
