Honest it’s the best hire in LSU sports history considering what she’s done. I was excited for nick saban after his first press conference but this is pretty huge

LSU has never hired such an accomplished coach. Probably never will again too.

Some will dismiss this fact because it's for women's basketball, but it is a fact.

ETA 777 did it while I was typing

ok. But it’s a huge hire for the women’s b ball program. She’s one of the best coaches in the country

Skip Bertman and Nick Saban were the best hires in LSU sports history. Skip brought college baseball not only at LSU but nationally to the spotlight and Saban brought our football program back from the dead, spring boarding the program to three titles over the next 20 years across three different coaches. He put LSU football on the map and made it a destination.

If you are alumni of LSU, does it really matter what you get excited about? It's called school spirit.

I don't give a frick if it's table tennis.

Then don't be excited. We don't care. I will always support my Tigers, regardless of the sport.

Yes but Nick Saban and Skip didn't have a championship to their resume when they were hired. Mulkey has 3 has HC, 2 as player and 1 as assistant.

Women's basketball... the most frustrating sport to watch in all of sports.

I was excited about Saban, but he was still relatively unknown at the time LSU hired him. His resume at the time certainly wasn’t what Mulkey’s is in her sport.

As far as past resume/accomplishments, Mulkey is undoubtedly the most impressive hire LSU has ever made.

I'm on record as saying that I don't care if they disband the program.

But, now that the hire is made, there is no reason not to be excited about it.

Mulkey is the kind of person that transcends the sport. She will be an ambassador for the whole school, athletic program and even the state.

She played a major role in the revival of the entire Baylor athletic program.
