I understand that but go through and look at the past brackets, that almost never happens. Since the LHSAA has gone to a 1-32 seeding, the better seeded teams have won in the 1st round at a great rate.

FWIW, the Division I, II and III three brackets do play best 2/3 in the 1st round

The rule change that needs to happen is instead of 1 point for every opponent’s win, baseball needs to use winning percentage x 34 for that part of the formula
Other 5A districts averaged all their teams playing about 30 games each... Barbe’s district averaged 32.5 each. The Jefferson Parish 8-5A teams averaged 21, and that killed our power rating.
