It looks like they did as well as possible with what they had story wise. A movie based on a fighting video game. 62% so far on RT that's a good sign.

This quote from a RT critic makes me happy to see

"It is a movie that is bound to make a lot of fans of the series happy."

I hope it does well, but personally, I have zero interest in going to see it.

Might go re-watch Godzilla vs Kong though.

* 7 downvotes for hoping it does well ? Frick all of you fragile snowflakes

With all the movies and shows I caved HBOmax is worth it. No theater necessary.

Zilla Vs Kong was all it took I knew it was gonna happen once I heard the news and all the other movies coming out this yr that shoulda been in theaters.

I admittedly wasn't that excited when I first heard about it, but the original was on tv not long ago, and it does not hold up well, so I kind of want the new one to be cool.

We are loving HBO Max at our house. I think it was genius of WB to release movies on it the day they hit theaters with no premium. I'd have never subscribed if not for this, and now I'm hooked.

It looks pretty neat. I'm going for Raiden.

I'm super stoked!

Just nervous from some of the reviews I've read.

But I'm watching it anyway

Maybe a fight movie is fine on the small screen, but when there are 400 ft tall kaiju fights and destroying modern cities, I want the full screen and sound experience.

I'm honestly hoping it pulls a 45% on RT. To me, that's a win for that kind of movie.

Pretty stoked for it. Just watched the animated Scorpion movie on HBOMax the other day and it scratched the itch a bit. Proceeded to go down the JLDark rabbit hole from there

Same! I thought it was pretty good. I found myself wondering if this movie would have a similar story.

I love the actual Hellblazer and Swamp Thing comics so seeing those characters pretty decently portrayed on screen was a pretty cool experience. It’s campy at times but they don’t skimp on the rough content (especially City of Demons and Apokolips War; those aren’t MK level violent but they hold their own)

Team Scorpion all the way. Personally, I'm hoping it's big brother Sub. That way we get to see Scorpion kill Sub on screen
