Windows 7 went end-of-life and is no longer receiving security updates. If you're concerned about security, you won't use it. Windows 10 is a free upgrade by downloading the Media Creation Tool if your computer can handle it. If your computer can't handle it, save your anti-virus money and buy a cheap new computer.

New computers are great but re-installation of a bunch of software part of that deal for me. So, I will use my computer until it breaks.
