Man that was a lot to unpack in that episode. Mare is going through so much shite in her personal life and dealing with the work.

The shooter looked to go over and make sure, I think unfortunately he’s a goner.
Tough break for him if the big reveal last night is true. His whole involvement in this was based on a lie and now killed over it, tragic shite.

Man HBO does such a good job setting up these mysteries.
They really nailed the small town feel and dynamics. Even hit on some comedy, wife and I were rolling when they were going through the interviews with the local kids from the party
From The Night Of, to Big Little Lies, The Outsider, The Undoing, hell even going all the way back to True Detective, they really do go out of their way to create an authentic feel and give you everything you need to understand these characters and why they do what they do.
That said, none of those recent series landed the endings particularly well despite the great ride to get there. So holding out hope this one finishes as strong as it has started
