Surgeons scrub in and use PPE once and discard it.
The general population wears their mask until it is worn out. They constantly adjust it, touch other things and then adjust it again, then drop it in their car until the next time it is needed. Those masks are absolutely filthy. Do you wear socks day after day after day?
The analogy of an everyday person wearing a mask vs a surgeon is a pretty dumb take.
