re: There is no shame in saying that Max is the starter. Myles got passed, it happens.

Early on Brennen played well and the rest of the team played like shite

Later on Max played well and the rest of the team helped out.

It doesn’t matter what the defense did. We are not judging the defense. We are judging decision making against MO and the whole first half of the MSU game where he did nothing. LSU punted on 5 of the 6 possessions in the first half of that game. WTH were you watching? The defense scored the other TD. So not the offense didn’t score 34. They scored 27 against a SHITTY MSU defense.
Brennan had a 45 QBR for that game.

Brennan has little experience despite his years there. You might as well build for the future and go with Johnson against these lesser teams early to prepare him for the grind. It’s stupid to waste his time.

But what the defense did was a HUGE reason Brennan was 1-2. So, yes it's stupid to ignore what the defense did, if you are using the overall record to judge who should start. But I wouldn't expect you to be able to comprehend this.

1. You’re talking wins and loses. Last I check There are 21 other starters including 11 on defense that effect the outcome of a game. So don’t talk wins and loses without talking about the defense.

2. The defense scored a TD against Florida too, and gave us the ball in FG position before the end of half. He knelt 2 times and kicked a FG.

3. Miss State had a much better scoring defense, a significantly better rushing defense, and a comparable passing defense. In fact, so did Missouri. Florida’s defense sucked.

4. Go look how many times we punted against Florida. 8 times. That’s 8 out of 14 drives. And then we kicked 3 FGs.

The difference between the offense against Florida and Missouri is that we scored less TDS against Florida and punted less. But Max can’t push the ball downfield like Brennan so he faced a lot more 3rd downs to convert before he punted.

The whole point is Max’s is a good QB but his magic “it” factor has a lot to do with the team playing better and Ole Miss being the worst fricking defense in the country.
