re: There is no shame in saying that Max is the starter. Myles got passed, it happens.

It’s much simpler than that. Max is the (presumed) #2 QB. This forum always likes the #2 QB more than the #1 guy.
They actually like the guy that beat a decent defense on the road as a TRUE freshman. He did not fold like a cheap suit. Say what you want about stats, it matters WHO YOU PLAY AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO LOSE WHEN YOU PLAY THEM as much as it does everything else. Winners are winners.
We have ZERO data on Brennan because he played in about as many games as Max did as a starter but against MUCH worse teams than that had nothing to lose as opposed to UF. With that 1 game doesn’t make a trend either. For this offense to be successful, the QB has to be able to slide and run above average. Brennan has limited pocket awareness and is slow afoot.

Amen!! 2-0 in nail biter games against big time rivals. One being on the road against a top 5 gators team. That shite matters. Oh yeah and it was his first start as a true freshman.
How can people sit there and seriously argue that Max is not the future? You can’t mess with that momentum by sitting him a year because it’s supposedly Brennan’s turn. Myles had his chances and couldn’t seize the moment.
