I was on the receiving end of his wooden paddle a few times in the mid 70’s when he was a Trojan coach. Over the next 40 years when occasion put us together, gas station, supermarket, ballgame etc...he always took a moment to say hello, asked how’s life and always remembered who I was.

I was fond of him and the responses on this board are a testament to his good fortune while he lived his life on earth with the grace of God. He will be missed.
