i've watched Married with Children as an adult, and just like back then, I still do not get the humor of Al rejecting Peggy's advances.
I liked Seinfeld/Cheers/Frazier as a teenager, but appreciate the humor even more now. I just still don't understand what the joke was supposed to be in turning down prime Katey Sagal.

Idea was that he hated the worthless, parasitic Peggy most of the time. Main time he really wanted to hit that were when Peggy was exhausted from doing real work.

I think he viewed Peg as the reason his life sucked so much. Not to mention she never cooked, cleaned or anything around the house unless she was scamming him for money.
