Picks up 39 points in coaches poll, but Missou closes gap to 5 points.

Assuming neither USC, OSU nor UGA loses next week... going into week 3 will probably be USC #1 and OSU #2 in the Associated Press. To be sure, ABC is already drooling over the hype of broadcasting No. 1 faces No. 2 in the "Best Game of the Weak...er...Week" ESPN will be
at their collective desks because they won't be broadcasting that game and will have to settle for the rest of us lesser quality teams. Thus UGA gets screwed once again by dropping down yet another notch without ever having lost a game. What a croc!

UGA will move up later with ASU and the help of ESPNSEC and their lovefest $$$$ partnership. That ASU game will be promoted like nothing else.

USC had a far more impressive win, on the road, against a much better opponent ... why should Georgia be ranked ahead of them?

USC from 3 to #1 after beating the hell out of Who? here we go again just like the past 5 years, Lets all see how much the media can Blow USC. "you are watching a Dynasty here" and "This is the team of the decade" What makes them any diffrent than any of the other Div 1 schools tha beat the hell out of a un ranked cream puff? GA, FLA, LSU. I hate the media suck-off marathon of USC as much as anybody, but they did crush a BCS conference team on the road ... are Georgia Southern and Youngstown State even Div 1 schools?
Polls shouldn't be out this early, but since they are, you can't fault them for voting USC ahead of the other contenders for the top spot.

Agreed ... plus both GA and tOSU had critical injuries that could have a huge impact on their seasons. Right now USC is #1.
