Not likely. The only thing of note that either one accomplished was Archer's 1988 SEC championship team that went 8-4. That team was already brought back for a curtain call in 2008. Archer was the DC at NC State that season, but they had an open date the week LSU honored the team. I don't recall if Archer was there or what kind of reception he might have gotten.

Mike Archer was well like by both his team , the admin and fans. He was just too young for the job. LSU hired him at 32/33 after being a DC to a defensive genius (Arnsbarger). Due to prop 48 and Louisiana’s horrible high school academics he had to recruit more out of state kids. Unfortunately many didn’t stay or pan out. The guys continued to coach at an extremely high level on the defensive side for almost 30 years after being fired from LSU. He had two great seasons , both were as good or better in my opinion than Cholly Mac’s two best seasons. Also, he is an all around good man. He doesn’t deserve a statute or plaque , but he should be honored for 87 and 88.
