Thinking about getting a Funimation Premium account. It’s about 6-7 bucks. Obviously not a pocket breaker. Really only interested in watching Dragon Ball series from the beginning all the way through. And maybe 1 other anime. Not a huge fan of anime but a few are nostalgic from child hood and I realized I never finished them.

Just curious if it’s worth it. How is the quality? Are all the episodes actually dubbed? Are there other good anime on there that is worth watching?

May only get it to watch the Dragon Ball stories and then drop it.

I used Funimation to watch Attack on Titan and DB Super. On 2 occasions the newest episode of Titan would not start on my app. Both on Apple TV and iPad. 6 weeks later they responded to my ticket. I’ve never had an issue with existing episodes for DB Super. They have had subbed and dubbed. Navigating the UI is frustrating at times.

If you get it, watch Paranoia Agent before you cancel.

Short series, very well done.

Check out Steins;Gate as well.

Also, here’s the anime megathread.

Funimation app is awesome and we'll worth the $6 when DB Super is going and dropping brand new subbed episodes every Saturday night.

But when the show is on break, I don't think the app is worth it unless you're a huge Anime fan.

Isn't DB Super over though as a series? Are they still creating new episodes after the tournament ended?

I always thought they were just on an a break and then virus stuff just kind of blew up all scheduling.

I know they had/have been making new Manga, which is the basis of the show. It also sounded in 2019 like the show was absolutely coming back, but now who knows. I haven't been keeping up with DBS much over the last year or so.

It's a great app and I encourage you to give other shows a chance. I was like you but found a lot of other interesting series I never would've imagined watching.

I have it and I am debating about dropping it for Crunchyroll because I hate having to wait for the dub of a lot of animes. Plus it seems like they removed Re:Zero and Tanya the Evil from it. I will say though I have watched about 20 to 25 shows

Crunchyroll gets the dubs earlier? I always thought they were after the subs. I'm pretty sure the dubs come out as soon as they can now. It takes them time because they don't release the script immediately and they have to sync the voices with the animation.
