There's a part of me that still find all this amusing that likes to imagine the "reporter" who decided to use that term sitting there laughing at the thought of typing it out, knowing exactly what it meant, and doing it any way.

I mean, at this point there is simply no repercussions for this type of thing since no one but those they are attacking will call them out for it.
