i made the trip down and enjoyed your hospitality. thanks for having us, and you guys made us a better team. where was RJ-Francios? he looks like a beast but i don't recall any of him from the game.

Perhaps he could be your team

He just couldn't get to that darned Arntami Edrwars

It's called depth. RJF was out there and making some great plays. However, unlike ASU, LSU doesn't depend on one player to win the game for them.

Check with your offensive linemen and your quarterback. I'm pretty sure they saw more of him than they wanted.

Check his numbers. No tackles. No Sacks. 1 pass break-up. Far from being individually dominant.

How many times did you run the ball up the middle? There's your answer

So you're gonna hang your hat on that?
Please...
You should follow the example of some of you fellow App. Staters by being gracious in defeat.

He put a ton of pressure on you guys. He is a Defensive Tackle, the offense you run is designed to minimize his impact. No one playing his position will put up great stats against you guys.

how many sacks do people expect a DT to get when the RB runs outside and the QB rolls out every play?

Sorry. Didn't mean it to sound like I was a poor sport. Just responding to a comment.
As for the experience? Great time. LSU fans were great to tailgate with, truly a class act. We drove through the night to get there and got no sleep before the game, so we spent the night, leaving to head back at 3:30am on Sunday morning. We knew full well that we would get caught in the evacuation, but that was safer than driving on no sleep. While the drive was long (17 hours back to Charlotte), we were continually amazed at how orderly and friendly every one was and how well orchestrated the contra-flow and evacuation procedures were.
Hats off the the people of Louisiana for showing us a great time with the approaching, potentially life altering storm in the back of your minds. Here we were sitting in the contra-flow, trying to get home. The people in line with us were sitting there wondering if they could ever go home. It really put things in perspective. As we stopped at rest areas and McDonalds, along the way, we received the same kind treatment we received at the stadium.
Again, hats off to the people of Louisiana and your football team.

He did exactly the only thing he could really do.....blow up the offensive line.

"numbers" are irrelevant when talking about a DT

Agreed, but I did expect more with the hype, just as you probably did about Armanti.
The one thing I took away from watching your defense, is that it is team defense. Your DBs were so athletic that they locked down our WRs all day, giving you an extra guy to stunt every play. He usually came in a A gap, taking away the QB draw and any inside zone run play. Our guys picked it up pretty well on passing downs, but really had no answer running the ball. Your DL was too big and too strong to for us to really get any sort of push, especially while worrying about the "numbers" coming at 'em.
