Will Smith contract looks like a big mistake but other than that I don’t really blame AA. Payroll is in the bottom half of the league. Would you rather have a couple $6M relievers or Ozuna?
It will only get harder as the young guys hit arb, Ozuna contract gets more expensive, Acuña gets more expensive, Freeman extension, etc. Not going to be much money at all for depth if Liberty doesn’t step up.
