Underwood Deviled Ham on toast with mayo, Zatarain's creole mustard and a couple of dill pickle slices.

This was my favorite school lunch growing up, minus the toast & mustard.

Second favorite was cheese, mayo & dill pickles.

How we didn't die from eating mayo that sat unrefrigerated for 6 hours is a mystery.

Evidently we were too poor for pb&j. My mom just never made it for us.

I was maybe the only weirdo kid who hated pb&j. I haven't had one since I was around 7 when my mom stopped forcing me, actually.

Love toast with strawberry jam. Love toast with peanut butter. Don't like them together.

Fun fact, mayo only needs to be refrigerated if it gets contaminated from other food sources. I keep it in the fridge.
