Also should mention Stuart Scott. I broke down real hard after watching ESPN report his passing live. But it wasn't necessarily him that did it. While I was definitely saddened to see that he pass, and he had that ESPY speech only a few months earlier where I think he knew he didnt have much longer.

But what did me in is that literally only a few days earlier I came from spending time at my grandfather's grave. One of the most influential people I've ever had in my life. Seeing the man who I once thought a superhero as a child, to basically being a vegetable in the hospital is a mental image in my head I have never been able to shake.

Cancer deaths just strike me hard in general. I may not cry like the day of Stuart Scott, but whenever I see a celebrity pass from cancer I am immediately saddened.

Watching rich eisen talk about it on the nfl network was pretty gut wrenching.

Also, I was especially bummed when I heard of James gandolfini’s passing.
