...that do business in multiple states.
Why or why not?

Constitution should be amended for congressional term limits!

Corporations are an organization of people, just like governments.
Eventually a person has to act for a corporation to do anything.

Corporations also wield more power than individuals. They are unelected positions that impact citizens in multiple states.

What are you talking about?
Like, give me an example.

Like banking companies shutting off service to gun stores would be illegal under the 2nd amendment.
Cloud hosting services kicking off political or religious websites would be illegal under the first.
Google taking your information and doing god knows with it would be illegal under the 4th.

Ah OK.
You mean the restrictions placed on government actions under the bill of rights should also restrict the actions of corporations.
I'd have to think about that, but now I see what you are getting at.

Oh, you mean to put them on a par with us
Something needs to rein them in but not the govt. That would be like getting Stalin to protect us from Hitler.

It’s not really using the government to stop them, it’s using the constitution in the same way we use the constitution against the government now.

That's the nature of any group of organized people.
Organization is a force multiplier be it a Corporation, Partnership, Church, Union or Cult.

No. Then a business can't fire an employee who says something that reflects poorly on the business or enforce a dress code that encroaches on their freedom of expression. I don't think postal employees should be exercising the 2nd amendment in the workplace. And are we going to have jury trials to terminate a bad employee?

Federal government fires people all the time and also has gun free zones.

Churches are protected in the constitution.
The constitution can be changed.

Actually I’m pretty sure the constitution applies to postal employees anyway since it’s a government org.
Posted on 4/8/21 at 4:52 pm to Tiguar
We should try shrinking the size of gment.
Posted on 4/8/21 at 4:56 pm to Tiguar
How does it not apply already?

This meme was cute 10 years ago but that ship has sailed.

Er, sort of. Religious practice by people is protected which roughly translates to churches but its not exactly the same thing.

Most definitely, by the official process of amendments, by the semi-official process of court 'interpretation'
and by the unofficial process of the masses simply ignoring it.
