Doctor treated him. Bad concussions, CTE, mental issues. Adams probably took it out on the doctor and his family for what he thought was bad treatment for his problems. Sucks but it's probably not much deeper than that.

He was a pediatrician, though. He shouldn't have had any recent involvement in his medical care so maybe there is something deeper there...
