I'm on ep 4 and not that impressed. Someone above compared the FX to Sky High, nailed it.
I like the flashbacks for no other reason that hardly any shows cover the end of the Roaring 20s and the Great Depression. That part is interesting to me.
The change in character of his dad, from life to death, is weird and doesn't feel plausible, unless there's more to this than I've seen so far.
Chloe is dreadful, cliche, and worth fast forwarding through.
I'm currently watching this, Tales from the Loop, and Sons of Anarchy. I think I'll jump back to Loop and then maybe finish this since SoA is so many more seasons.
If you want an interesting story on teens with super powers and how they grow in to them, I highly recommend the book series by Drew Hayes: Super Powereds
It tells a great story about super heroes with interesting twists on their powers and how they use them. There's a feel of Beverly Hills 90210 or Dawson's Creek type stuff, but it's really well written. I'd love to see the four books turned in to a TV series on Netflix or Amazon.
