I am undertaking a small build/up-fit which requires portable power to run a small winch. The which is being outfitted to attach to a dolly, with the possibility of being also used on a utility trailer.

Looking for a recommendation on a Rechargeable Battery Pack to run the winch a few times a day/between charges.

even a small winch will need a real battery not a battery pack

get an affordable car battery and call it a day, recharge it over night as needed

If you are only going to use it a couple times a day, and not run the battery down, just get a good car/truck starting battery, they have higher amp ratings, and are designed to give high output for short periods of time. They will not last long if you run them dead. However, if you are going to use it under extreme conditions, and run it nearly dead, then you'd want to go with a deep cycle marine type battery. They are designed to be run into the ground and then recharged.

I would go deep cycle for sure.

It won't take long to drain any battery if you're putting it under any real load.

Thanks for all of the responses.

The winch won’t be anything too heavy-duty. Probably rated for 1500-2500 LBS.

Me and a buddy have a few inflatable water slides/bouncers we rent on the weekend for some extra cash, and I’m trying to make transportation of the units as easy as possible.

Don't raise your load, lower your trailer.
