just curious, are these jugs with the concrete weights something yall are putting in current and want it to anchor? I use an egg weigh up (i buy whatever size it looks like my string will fit through) and hook down after a swivel. I'm not running them in current, though. I toss em out and let em drift.

16 oz cup cement method has worked for me in the intercostal and Lake Verret.

I fish in the Intracoastal, it's not the current it's the tugboats that get you.

Yep, strong currents, tides, and big boat traffic. They would end up in the gulf or way back in the marsh without a weight line.
