Bottom line for me: Max can run and make something out of nothing, which is what made Joe Burrow so lethal.
And in his first ever start, as a true freshman, he went into the swamp, led multiple scoring drives, didn’t turn the ball over, and beat the #6 team in the country. That’s more important to me than stat padding against inferior competition.

Win loss is a team stat. I've cherry picked nothing.
Even if you wanted to blame schedule, TJ is the one who got punished there.
The bulk of Max's stats are against an AWFUL Ole Miss pass defense
