Classiest team in CFB ......

(other than the Tigers, of course).
Seriously though...from their posting here over the past months to their players demeanor throughout the game, I have to say that I've got a high opinion of the Mountaineers after today...not just as a football team, but as a fanbase as well
I'll be rooting for you guys throughout the rest of the season to grab your 4th straight National Championship.

My vote would go to tOSU fans...
Some of the the App. fans here can really run their mouths and was expecting a close game, blah, blah, blah (reminding us the 24-0 game 3 yrs ago and said that the score was 14-0 in the 4th quarter and they dropped a TD passed, or LSU won't be able to run against their defense... etc...)

From what I've seen on TD - a genuinely fun-loving bunch of folks who have team pride, a good sense of humor and a gregarious nature. Many have shown humility in defeat and compassion/concern for those about to be smacked by this storm.
I think a lot of the "running of the mouth" and "close game" musings stem from enthusiasm, not ego.
So - Appy State fans -

From what I've seen on TD - a genuinely fun-loving bunch of folks who have team pride, a good sense of humor and a gregarious nature. Many have shown humility in defeat and compassion/concern for those about to be smacked by this storm.

i'm still going with Va Tech fans after last year. Very realistic discussions, and lots of love after the game.

I am sure you meant USC = Southern Cal
but the other USC = South Carolina...may have some of the best fans in college football....or at least the most loyal fans....

Well if you would have sat in front of the visitors section yesterday you might have a different opinion of them. Cheering for your team and trash talking is fine with me, when it stays within football. But this group of fans clearly look down upon Louisiana and its people. I can even understand them wishing ill will upon our team in fustration, but what does our people of this state and their well being have to do it. Call me what ever you want I don't care, but I would never wish death and destruction on anyone. Not over a football game.
And I know not all App St fans are not that way. But they had more than enough there to show me what the general idea was at the game anyway.

Me, too. I've liked the VT fan base ever since the 2002 game. Still visit their main website on occasion, and you can never scroll more than a page or so w/o them making some reference to LSU.

My personal experience with App fans has not been very good. As far as the App posters on here, many had a very distorted view of what they were capable of.
VT fans were very good last year.
