I feel exactly the way I felt with Miles

The game is stale. Always a nail biter hoping we'll get a late break to win. Watching other young coaches doing innovative, exciting things while we are determined not to change.
Remember how fun it was when the offense finally changed in football? It was a breath of fresh air after years of garbage.

I agree it’s time for Paul to go, but can you give me examples of how Paul isn’t innovative?

We all feel the same way. But how long until they make a change? Took them forever with Miles

A very similar situation.

I will start:
We have never ever been able to bunt. Not ever.
Up till now we recruited small ball players who can’t bunt when we need to.
Our hitting sucks and we have no plate discipline nor “plan” when we get there.
We don’t steal. We all know paul is going to run us out of inning with a failed hit and run.
Etc etc

His entire coaching philosophy appears to be "keep your hands off the team and let the talent win out." When things aren't working, he doesn't change course. Bianco, for example, is not talented enough to play on an SEC baseball team. He is a complete liability and Paul is just waiting for him to "figure it out." Why is Crews batting 1st in the order? He is a consistent hitter and has the potential to drive guys in. Put him in the 2nd or 3rd spot. Why are our pitchers not reaching their potential? We were projected to have one of the best staffs in the country? Is this talent evaluation or coaching? Change something.
In the instances where he does make changes, they don't seem to have any rationale other than "shake things up." Hey, let's pull a pitcher who is dominating to get a freshman some reps.

Did Skip hire both Miles & Paul?

The difference is Miles was always Garbage. Yeah, he won a lot of games but we always underperformed. The only coach in the BCS era to play in a Natty with 2 losses. The 11 team was one of the best ever and because of him, we got embarrassed in that Natty. Paul at one time was a legit coach. Not so much now.

Can you give me an example of where he has done something innovative and not copied from Vandy or other teams?

Shouldve been fired the moment he admitted he became complacent the season after winning the CWS.

People keep saying this but this is way worse than what Les was giving us

It’s a disservice to Les Miles for people to compare Paul to him. Les took over a program with 1 national championship in the previous 45 years.

Has changed his approach to who he recruits several times through his career. When BBCOR bats came out, he realized he had to recruit good pitchers and play small ball to win. So he recruited ace pitchers and CF’s. Then they changed the balls, so then it became easier to hit the ball out the yard, and Paul had to recruit power hitters again.
He use to bunt a lot in the first 3-4 years of the BBCOR era. People hated it. Then he did more hit and runs, and putting runners in motion, and it was very successful. We just had a lot of bad breaks. If Jake Slaughter just slides straight into the bag, or gives himself up, we win the natty in 2017.

BS!!! Les followed the best coach in the history of College Football. Go back and look at all the future NFL players Saban left on the roster.

BS! Miles took a team loaded with talent and won a championship, then gradually allowed it to crumble.
Maineri did the same.
Both won it all then almost won another.
