What don’t you understand about a 3 million dollar + buyout & a contract through 2024?
Yes, there is a chance he could be asked to retire & LSU try to negotiate his buy out down but the entire athletic dept is a shite show right now
I doubt there are enough big baseball donors willing to dump a bunch of cash to get rid of him

You seem really confident about a guess. You may very well be correct, but my guess is just the opposite.
LSU 100% has the MLB guys to donate the buyout, much less other donors. I personally believe that Paul has completely lost all self-awareness. When he talks to a confidante after the season, he will realize the hole he is in. He will then “retire”.
As far as a potential new coach...Woody is good at over paying. He will get a splash hire.
FTR, I am not terribly confident in my guesswork!! Just a hope and a prayer at this point.
