Roundup, Bahia/crab grass, lawn cutting

I have some patches of Bahia/crab grass or something like it that I am going to do the cotton glove roundup thing too in st aug. Can I do that this evening and cut the grass tomorrow...is that enough time for the roundup to soak in and do its destruction?

If you do have Bahiagrass, MSM Turf (metsulfuron methyl) will kill it - got any photos? Does it have a “Y” shaped seedhead. Takes repeat applications but it will get rid of it over time.
What type of lawn grass do you have?
Once roundup is rain fast, several hours, you can cut the grass, but I’d also read the label on the bottle - that info is usually provided.

12 hrs should be fine. 24 hrs is no concern at all.
Assuming 'dry' conditions.

Ill have to take a look. I forgot and maybe I meant Dallis or crab. Ill make sure tho before I roundup. Its been there for several years slowly spreading in the direction I cut in so I am got to try to get rid of it now. Its not a lot but a few patch's spread about.
I did not die in this past hard freeze. Tips discolored but back in full force now.
I am bad with timing my pre emergent...for instance...I still haven't yet

Nothing wrong with using roundup to kill perennial grassy weeds like Dallisgrass , bahiagrass if you are careful, just wanted to let you know MSM Turf does control Bahia in lawn grass without harming the lawn and Bahia is super easy to ID by the Y shaped seedhead.

So they don’t have any shoots coming up but can it be ID’ed like this?

Definitely not Bahiagrass - kind of looks like it might be perennial rye, as was ID’d by ronk in PTBob thread on the first page of the H&G board. Check it out. Maybe ronk will jump in here and ID it. Hard for me to do without a seed head. If perennial rye it will die in the heat of summer on its own and perennial rye really isn’t perennial in the heat of southern LA.

I lie I found one clump that had one seed shoot. It definitely does not die back ever. Even in the winter it’s still there. This really hard freeze just sort of killed the tips of the blades but it came back pretty quick.
Dallisgrass?

Dallisgrass?

Thought so. That’s what I seemed to remember it was but it’s been a while since I looked and decided I want to get it gone. More than I want to dig out so I’ll just use some roundup and go from there. Thanks
