about 800 sq ft in 3 bedrooms/closets. I have installed engineered wood floors before and used a miter saw.
But i know there is an LVT cutter you can use. Anyone know the best one for one time use? I really dont want to spend 500 on the top of the line one. I mean, if thats the case, for $1000 i can pay someone to install them

i'm not opposed to it. Just liked the idea of not having to go out in my garage to make every cut. plus no mess. not as loud. etc

There's one for $100 on amazon. I'd like to think it's constructed well enough for a single install.

I did a small bathroom in LV and used the straight cut tin snips. I put baseboards down after so I wasn’t worried about a perfect cut but they cut very nice and no mess to clean up

We installed 2000 sq ft of lvp ourselves. 90% is an exacto to score and pop it.
Other 10% was a table saw to rip it.

What Boss said. Installing LVT myself right now and am using a utility knife or the table saw.

Jigsaw with laminate/vinyl blades, cheap and easy. Cuts fine, rips easier, and better for doors/halls.

Just finished doing 3 bedrooms with LV. Used a miter saw for strait cuts and jigsaw for notches/rips. Both saws worked very good. I would highly recommend getting one of the plastic hitting blocks - that worked way better than a wood block.

Get the Robert's pro tool kit from home depot.
I used knife for straight cuts and jigsaw for doors.
