Screen time isn’t really necessary at all for a baby. It the grand scheme of things, it can actually delay development with speech/language/attention span. I would recommend waiting until the kid is a bit older, possibly at least 1 or ideally 2. But to each their own.
My 3 year old loves Bluey, Chico Bon Bon, and The Cat in the Hat series.

Meh, it's not like we're giving him an ipad to play with. When he's squirmy or fussy we'll hold him, go for a walk, put him on the mat, put him in a swing chair, put him on a little baby einstein thing, etc. There's a bunch of things we do to calm him down and keep him occupied but sometimes as babies tend to do he is still just fussy. I don't think putting him on the couch to watch colorful shapes on the TV is hurting anything.
