'Black Adam': Pierce Brosnan to Play DC Hero Dr. Fate Opposite Dwayne Johnson
quote:

Brosnan, known for being one of only a handful of actors to inhabit the James Bond mantle, is the last key member of the roll call for the production that will feature the big-screen debut of the Justice Society, DC’s precursor to the Justice League that takes a familial and multi-generational approach to heroics. Already suited up are Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone.

Silver Fox Brosnan as Fate? I could see it. Hope they get the costume right. They could easily bring too much of the cheese factor with it.

This is great casting. He brings the necessary elegance to the character. Count me in

Is he going to end up fricking Helen Mirren’s character from Shazam 2?

He could tag-team her and Zatanna both.

Such is the existence of he who wears the helmet of Nabu.

Interesting choice for a character that should never remove his helmet...

DR FATE SPOILERS if anyone cares about such a thing

Dr Fate is the helmet. The person under the helmet is basically his slave.

Dr Fate is a truly awesome and quite dark character that just so happens to be on the side of "order" so he usually aligns with the "heroes." I hope they do the character well.

The helmet is just a repository without the person.

Nah. It's a prison for Dr Fate. When the person puts on the helmet, they switch places. Dr Fate takes over the body and the person's consciousness is transported to whatever limbo Dr Fate usually hangs out in.

Yeah.

A repository.

Then they aren't Dr Fate, but this is a thread about Dr Fate so I'm not sure where you're going with this.

Which is why we’ll never have a successful Mandalorian franchise.
