I don't think he is starting material. Just don't think he sees the field well, weak arm and sloooooow. I wish that Lee would have gotten under center a few more series.

if he's slower than flynn or mauck, it's by like half a step. he looks quicker than flynn also

Hatch is the guy. The end. The interception and poor clock management said it all. Hatch can manage a game - even if his throws suck. I'll take game management over 'potential'.

I felt a whole lot better about Hatch today than Lee. Hatch was calm (reminded me of Flynn). You don't have to be a Johnny Unitas to win football games. Just don't panic, keep chugging along, and do your job.
Lee looked like he was standing in a pile of fireants. Panicky and without poise. That scares me A LOT.

It was the first time the kid ever saw the field. I expected a bunch of nerves but it needs to get better or he won't play.

he looked faster then flynn, but same as mauck.

he's got to get a med pass range down and thats all we need from him, but every SEC team will stack line and take away short passes and stuff run......

but its early we got time to get better....

8-4 or 9-3 with Hatch. Frame it!

No he doesn't...but neither does Lee...we will be running a two QB offense for most of the year. Until one of them really improves. Lee has the most potential he just needs to calm down and learn not to telagraph his passes.

Because he's in your avatar doesn't make him better. Just thought you should know.

Thought BOth looked good today all things considered. Both need to improve and no doubt they will

I was impressed with Hatch. I guess maybe my expectations were a little more realistic that some of you naysayers. He looked comfortable in the pocket and did a good job sensing pressure. He did not hesitate to run when he needed to and he is not slow (I agree wtih the Flynn comparison in an earlier comment). I say he's a gamer and overall the game left me feeling much better about our QB than I thought it would.

Hatch is either a tough sob or a dumb sob for some of his running decisions , but I was impressed by his running. His throwing? Not so much. He'll have plenty of time to work on that.

Hatch is terrible. Don't expect any third and long conversions this year. He has a noodle arm and looks to run immediately if his primary receiver is open. NOT SEC MATERIAL.
