RIP to the PS3

PSP’s and PS3’s stores are to be closed on July 2, while the PS Vita store will stay open until August 27. After those dates, you will no longer be able to purchase digital copies of games or DLC for any of the Sony consoles mentioned above.

Gotta go look and see if there are any PS1 Classic titles I need to add to the collection.
I have SOTN, so that's all that matters.

Get the NAMCO museum collections on the ps1 and you won’t regret it

This sucks because my (meager) Vita collection is almost all digital.
What about downloading patches?

I’d just hack your vita; that way you can play all PSX and PSP games too.

When the store officially closes, I may go that route.
For the time being, I'm making sure I have backups of everything I bought so that I have access to it if something happens to my Vita or memory card.
Hell, at that point I may as well take my fat PS3 apart, get a better hard drive, and start loading it up with PS1, 2, and 3 games I want to play on it.

Ones to consider-
Parasite Eve 1 and 2
Suikoden 1 and 2
Tomba 1 and 2
Rayman
The Parasite Eve and Tomba series are Playstation 1 exclusive, meaning the only ways to play them are the original PS1 discs or a PS One classic download for PSP/Vita/PS3.
Rayman is not an exclusive by any means but I find the PS1 version to be great. It's available on disc, as a download, and on the PS1 Classic.
I'm tempted to pick up some other titles such as Misadventures of Tron Bonne, which is a Megaman Legends spinoff which is supposed to be really good and is supposed to be several hundred dollars for an original disc copy.
Most other titles worth picking up tend to be ones that get re-released in some form or another (Final Fantasy series and spinoffs like FF Tactics, Resident Evil series, Metal Gear Solid and VR Missions, Namco Museum games, etc)
Silent Hill is one such series but I'm not sure the original from PS1 gets ported much. It is supposedly available on PS4, though.

INSANELY FUN. I had it back on the PSX.
Apparently there's concern that once the stores are gone, you lose the ability to play the games downloaded to your PS3 if the EPROM battery dies, because the internal clock sync with the Playstation Network is what validates the purchase.
There are several tutorials out there suggesting a fresh change of that battery while the PS3 library is still supported.
