Agree 100% and you have to hear me out on this. Lefties make better short stops, period and here is why.
1- A ball hit at the SS can be played equally by both LH and RH players
BUT
2- A ball hit to the SS left side is MUCH EASIER PLAYED by a LH thrower. It's a more natural throw where the LH player does not have to turn their body.
And here's the kicker: ALL PLAYERS ARE TAUGHT TO HIT THE BALL UP THE MIDDLE. And this plays directly into the strengths of a LH thrower.
Clearly an advantage for lefty SS.
And finally,
3- A ball hit to the SS right side can be played normally with a body turn like for a RH SS playing a ball up the middle. If it's a ball far to the SS right side, the SS can play it like an easy RH SS double play - IE, flip it to the 3B who guns it to 1B. The 3B has the strongest arm on the team, so this is natural. The LH SS is already moving towards the 3B, so this is the easiest flip in baseball.
Baseball is still stuck in the 1900's, and like the "Opener" mod for pitching, the LH SS is the next evolution in the game coming.

I always knew you were one or the worst baseball posters on this board. Thanks for proving it.

This is so dumb I don't even know where to begin.

So a left handers, moving right, should catch a baseball, and have their shoulder pointing towards left field and have to spin it around roughly 180 degrees, and make the throw to first, and that's easier done than a right hander? Yeah, ok.
And yes, it's the same for a RH moving to his left, but the throw going that direction from a right hander is much much shorter.

No it's not idiot. There aren't left handed short stops for a reason, and that's not changing. You are sitting here trying to tell us you know more than hundreds of years of baseball knowledge. If you have this ground breaking info, why aren't you running a baseball team, and using your superior knowledge to change the game forever?

This is either the greatest, most elaborate and well thought out troll job in the history of the Rant or that is some extremely good grass being burned at your house.
But I don’t know baseball, so who knows.
