I’m with you guys, enjoyed everything but the whole loan thing. There are probably several avenues that could be taken.

The explanation of “a whole bunch of people re-appearing, money got tight” sorta makes sense.
After half the world disappeared, governments probably begin removing money from circulation to prevent runaway inflation. Now that all those people have come back, and the series taking place mere months after the comeback, there just hasn’t been enough time to return to the pre-Thanos status quo economics.
