Dont go solar. You get what you pay for. Wired works much better, looks much better, and will last much longer.
As for recommended brand, I bought volt through costco and any extra spotlights i needed where you couldn't see the fixture I bought on amazon.

I bought all of my stuff off of Amazon. I don't have a smart anything, but my transformers run off of the light sensor. (On at dusk, off at dawn)
I've been running this one for a few years now and am happy with it.
200w Transformer
I have about 10 of these sprinkled around lighting my house, columns and trees. Super bright. They just work.
